The unit is housed in a dedicated infrastructure, having large numbers of servers and equipped with cutting edge specialized equipment, computer systems to handle all categories of data and to ensure data privacy and security. The centre has large storage devices, networking equipment for different telecommunications.
We have a team of experts in data science who are able to support different research projects nationally and collaborate with the international partners. They have experience and expertise in statistical analysis and modeling, High performance computing (HPC), cloud computing, genomic or omics data analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Some of the researches, the team supports include; the cause of disease outbreaks in communities, the underlying mechanisms for disease transmission, software or tool development and developing new diagnostics and therapeutics.
